EW Doc Jenson: 'Lost': Theorize and Shine

No new episode this week, but Doc Jensen fills the void with some ideas for alternative entertainment, a foundation for next week's ''Namaste,'' a little Rose and Bernard talk, and, most important, your answers to the Doc's Theory-Making Challenge!

A second Wednesday night without Lost this season?!!!!!

Please tell me that Emilie de Ravin isn't done on Lost. — Jason

MATT: Allow me to be crystal Claire, as it were — we will see MIAaron's mom again, and not just by means of a time-jump à la the birthing moment Sawyer witnessed anew. As the Aussie actress shared in this video, she is just taking "a little break" this season, and multiple sources assure me the plan is still for her to return for the series-ending Season 6. Speaking of finales during this sad, Lost-less week, I'm hearing that there will be just one more "hiccup" — a late-April clip show — detouring our road to this year's undoubtedly big finish.

The LaFleur/Comic Con ‘08 Connection

Posted by docarzt on Monday, March 9th, 2009 at 10:10 am

Thanks to reader Bobby for pointing this out. As far as I know, no-one else has made this connection. At the very end of the comic con ‘08 Pierre Chang film, when Chang is struggling with who we assume to be Faraday, the final thing he says is “LaFleur, what are you doing?”

Thoughts on LAFLEUR

By Paul Burrows

Make Your Own Type of Music
Daniel added to his record analogy saying that the record had stopped, but they were on the wrong song. It reminded me of the beginning scene of season 2 with Desmond putting a record on the Hatch player and going about his morning routine, which was part of his daily life being trapped in the Hatch on the island. The song had the lines “Make your own music”. Which is a way of saying be yourself even when you become part of a group.

EW: 'Lost': Burning questions about LaFleur'...and one answer!

Mar 5, 2009, 08:27 PM by Jeff Jensen

To answer your question: No, I CAN'T write enough about Lost, thank you very much. More ideas and questions have popped into my head since filing my recap last night, such as:

Popular Mechanics: Lost Fact vs Fiction: Is the Sonic Fence on Lost Possible?

Last night's episode of Lost, "LaFleur," finally ended the Left-behinder's skips through time and landed them firmly in 1974—right in the midst of the Dharma/Others war. We welcome the break from dissecting time-travel theory to delve into another Lost subject we've been waiting to tackle: That darned sonic fence that manages to keep "Smokey The Monster" out of the compound while knocking out any human that tries to get through.

LOST 5x09

EW: 'Lost' Recap: Settling Into A Groove

The Left Behinders, led by Sawyer, wind up finding their place with the Dharma Initiative folks...at least until they have their big reunion with some old friends

LEADER OF THE PACK Sawyer blossomed during his time with the Dharma initiative and became the born leader he never knew he could be

Time:Lostwatch: That '70s Show

Before you read this post, quit dancing with that girl, turn your attention to the multiple video monitors, and watch last night's Lost.

So for the strandees, the flashes have stopped. For the rest of us, however, they are just (re)beginning. Question: are the 1977 scenes flash-back-forwards, or are the 1974 scenes flash-back-backs?

TV Guide: Lost Preview: Who's the New Woman in Sawyer's Life?

Mar 3, 2009 10:49 PM ET by Matt Mitovich

This Wednesday on Lost (9 pm/ET, ABC), Sawyer, Juliet and the other time-trippers cross paths with, among other people, a woman named Amy — and boy, is she about to make a special delivery. 24 alumna Reiko Aylesworth gave us a tease-filled look at her multi-episode turn.

TVGuide.com: How has it been for you, basically a New York City gal, filming in Hawaii?
Reiko Aylesworth: It does feel like another country, but it's great. It's also weird because I got there and everybody looks like me and my family, which never happens. It's that whole mixed Asian thing! [Laughs]

Doc Jensen on 'Lost'

'Lost': 'LaFleur' Plan?
Doc Jensen finds parallels between tonight's episode -- a big one for Sawyer -- and James Joyce's ''Ulysses.'' Plus: Why on earth would Ben save Locke -- and then kill him?, a new No Prize! contest, and the return of ''Totally Lost''
Buzz up!More

'LAFLEUR' The title of tonight's episode makes the Doc think of Ulysses — and it's a straight line from Joyce to Sawyer (you'll see!)
