Kaaawa Valley/Kualoa Ranch = Huge Climbing Hill in Pilot and Bridge that Charlie fell
Surprisingly due to the magic of camera angles this was the hill that was used for the long climb that Kate, Sawyer, Charlie, Sayid, Boone & Shannon made on the way to getting high ground to listen to the radio in the Pilot.

ABC Re-Airing 'Lost' Pilot Before Series Finale

It remains one of -- if not the -- best TV drama pilots ever, and in celebration of the May 23 'Lost' series finale, ABC has decided to replay the show's incredible, $10 million, two-hour series premiere on May 22.
As reported by The Wrap, the pilot repeat adds to an already 'Lost'-packed week at ABC between May 17-23. The penultimate episode of the show premieres on May 18, the pilot re-airs on May 22, and on May 23, the finale night kicks off with a two-hour recap of the entire series, followed by the two-hour finale and then a special 'Jimmy Kimmel Live: Aloha to 'Lost'' show that will feature 'Lost' cast members and showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.
The pilot episode, directed by series creator J.J. Abrams, debuted on ABC on Sept. 22 and 29, 2004, and hasn't been aired on the network since 2006.
The most expensive pilot in TV history, the two-hour introduction to the show that would have 'Lost'-ies obsessed with the secrets of the island, the Oceanic 815 flight, the plane crash victims and Hurley's (Jorge Garcia) numbers -- 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 -- for the rest of the decade, cost so much because Abrams purchased, shipped and had set designers manipulate an actual decommissioned airplane to use in the pilot.
A reminder of the pilot's awesomeness: It opens with Jack (Matthew Fox), battered and bruised from the crash, waking up in the jungle and catching a glimpse of Vincent, the yellow Lab pooch of Walt (Malcolm David Kelley). In quick order, we'd then meet the rest of the cast, including Hurley, Claire (Emilie de Ravin), Rose (L. Scott Caldwell), Kate (Evangeline Lilly), Michael (Harold Perrineau), Sawyer (Josh Holloway), Sayid (Naveen Andrews), Shannon (Maggie Grace), Boone (Ian Somerhalder), Charlie (Dominic Monaghan), Jin (Daniel Dae Kim), Sun (Yunjin Kim), Locke (Terry O'Quinn), Smoky the Monster and, RIP, the pilot (guest star Greg Grunberg).

Pilot Poll
Originally Jack was supposed to die and Kate was suppoed to be a soccor Mom whose husband died in the crash. While I like Jack a lot I personally feel that might have been interesting to have seen where it would have gone. I think that Darlton would have done well that way also. But Im glad with what they choose.
Would the show be as good if Jack had died and Kate was the leader?

Thoughts on Pilot 2
Its cool how they now show Charlies part of the on airplane story and why he was in such a hurry. Although where did he think that he was going to run? They were on an airplane.
Its also interesting watching Sun and knowing what a lyer she was about her English and about so many other things.
Another thing was the fact that after watching Sayid fight Keemy & Mikail Sayid I'm surprised that Sayid didn't just wipe the floor with Sawyer. I guess that he was going easy on him?
I love how Jin offers the fish to Hurley, but he says that hes not that hungry.
The scene with Sawyer sitting in the turbine piece reading his letter was such a great character moment, so iconic of him.
I love the Locke Walt moments, they work well together.
I love how much Jin gets freaked out when Claire has him feel her stomach.
I'm surprised that with all of their later hunger needs that they didn't try to drag Sawyer's Polar Bear back the the beach for food.
I love how Hurley faints when helping Jack work on.
Also how Sawyer is able to call Kate on her Con. That Marshall is a great actor, the character is a jerk though.
Watching this I'm wondering why we never really got any Charlie, Boone moments. That would have been interesting. I kind of wish that would have kept him a little longer.
There's Danielle's message again, Darlton has such a great way of introducing new characters with such minimalism. We learn a lot about her long before we see her.
