I so wanted to jump the fence and climb around the rocky area to explore, but there were signs all over saying not to, plus my Wife would never have let me.
Its also where the final battle between Jack & MIB/Locke toke place. Along with where Desmond killed Kelvin Inman and where the survivors crossed a rocky area to get dynamite in the season one finale.

"Lost" finale may still leave viewers stumped

The series finale of "Lost" is set to air on May 23, and fans of the popular drama can hardly wait. However, eager TV watchers should be warned that they might not get the closure they desire.
Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, the co-creators of the show, spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about what's in store.
"We're trying to end 'Lost' in a way that feels 'Lost'-ian and fair and will generate a tremendous amount of theorizing," Lindelof told the news source. "There's no way to end the show where the fans aren't going to say, 'What did they mean by this?' Which is why we're not going to explain it."
"Lost" has remained somewhat steady in the ratings for six seasons, but it may be the show's continuous guessing-game that has led to its cult following.
Although the series is nearing its end, the careers of its main actors are going strong. Evangeline Lilly, who plays Kate Austen, appeared in the Academy Award-winning drama "The Hurt Locker," while Matthew Fox, who plays Jack Shepherd, was cast in the films "Speed Racer" and "Vantage Point."

'Lost' execs promise timeline resolution

The executive producers of Lost have promised viewers that the series finale will provide some resolution.
Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse told Wired that the show will attempt to explain how the two storylines fit together.
"The audience is saying, 'I hope they explain the relationship between these two stories' and that, to us, is the only answer we owe," Lindelof said. "Because at this point, the characters are not aware that there's any timeline other than the one they are in. But if they were to become aware of the parallel worlds, what might they do about it? That becomes a fundamental question."
The pair also suggested that the programme will choose between science, represented by Jack (Matthew Fox), and faith, represented by Locke (Terry O'Quinn).
"The show can't have its cake and eat it too," Lindelof explained. "At the end of the day, if Locke and Jack were to sit down and say, 'Well, we were kind of both right', that would not be satisfying. It has to come down one way or another."
However, Cuse said: "There's still going to be plenty of room for debate when the show is over. We are going to take a stab at providing a conclusion, and one that we hope will be satisfying on a character level.
"The bigger questions, we realise, are not answerable. We feel that demystifying some of the things we do on Lost is like the magician showing you how the trick is done, and we don't want to do that."
He continued: "We don't know whether the resolution between the two timelines is going to make people say, 'Oh, that's cool' or, 'Oh, f**k those guys, they belly-flopped at the end'."
Meanwhile, Lindelof added: "This is our best version of the story of Lost, and it's the definitive one. The worst thing we could ever do is not end it, or go with some bulls**tty ending like a snowglobe or a cut to black. That was genius on The Sopranos but The Sopranos isn't a mystery show. For us, we owe our best version of a resolution here."
The finale of Lost will air on ABC on May 23.

Lost Finale: "You're Gonna Love It Or Hate It"
Returns February 5th At 9pm
Sky1 recently caught up with the stars of Lost and found out some surprising revelations. When asked to sum up what the Lost audience will make of the final season in under three words, the cast were reassuringly cryptic.
Daniel Dae Kim who plays Jin Kwon declared that fans would feel “Content” while Evangeline Lilly felt that the finale would cause a divide amongst fans saying “They’re either gonna love it or hate it.”
Things got s little more revealing as Josh Holloway joked that the final episode of season 6 would be called “Cage Orgy” hinting that the whole cast would be locked in a cage to recreate the famous Sawyer and Kate love scene in season 3. Now that’s something I think every Lost fan would want to see!

Ask Matt: Where Will Lost End Up?

Question: I have been thoroughly enjoying 3/4 of ABC's Wednesday night comedy block (which, so far, is funnier and more accessible than the 3/4s of NBC's Thursday night comedy block I watch). My question is this: Where is Lost going to go? For the majority of its run, Lost has been on Wednesdays at 9/8c (except for its freshman year when it aired at 8/7c—which still shocks me—and the year of the writers' strike when it aired on Thursdays). I can't imagine ABC pulling its newly established (and relatively successful) comedy in favor of Lost, so in all likelihood, the final season of Lost will be airing in a time slot it has never aired previously. Where do you think it will go?—Erin
Matt Roush: Clearly, scheduling the final season of Lost will be no laughing matter. But I agree that it’s not in ABC’s best interests to jettison its new Wednesday comedy block just as it’s building up some steam, critically and some weeks in the ratings. (It’s a tough night, and ABC will need to be patient to see long-term growth; getting rid of Hank would be a good first step.) ABC has not yet announced just how it will schedule Lost in its final season, but wherever it airs, its fans will find it and follow it to the end. This final season isn’t going to be about ratings necessarily; Lost isn’t likely to grow in its final season, although many who’ve fallen away may tune in toward the end just to see how it wraps up. Which is why I wouldn’t be surprised if ABC puts it in one of the open 10/9c slots where shows currently are performing poorly: Tuesdays or, more likely, Wednesdays. This gets it out of the way of the American Idol juggernaut, and while I’d prefer it to air in a 9/8c time period as it has done the last few seasons, I don’t see an opening there, especially on Wednesdays, where the acclaimed Modern Family serves as the anchor for the comedy block. In the big picture, it’s more important for ABC to continue nurturing its terrific new comedies for the long haul than to worry too much about protecting Lost in its final stretch. Wherever it airs, we’ll be there.

Sci Fi Crush: Short Damon Lindelof Interview
The hit ABC series, Lost, approaches its sixth and final season in 2010. Lindelof described writing the last episodes to be “an enormous emotional experience” and confirmed that the show’s ending has been in the works since the very beginning.
The writer also promised Lost fans that all of the show’s loose ends will be tied up in a fair and satisfying way. ”We hope that all who put their faith in us to resolve these stories will be rewarded. We’ve really been writing this season for the fans.”
Damon Lindelof also produced this summer’s reboot of Star Trek and has been working with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci on developing the sequel. ”It’s in the preliminary stages,” he said, “We’ve thrown around some cool ideas, but that’s it.”
Lindelof and Carlton Cuse are up for an Emmy for their two-parter Lost episode, “The Incident.”

“I am flattered that Ellen is a fan of our show,” says exec producer Carlton Cuse, who promises Ellen there is a master plan, with some sweet payoffs, if she sticks through the final season. Dominic Monaghan recently had a secret breakfast meeting with producer Damon Lindelof to discuss how he might manage returning to Lost as Charlie. “We would like there to be some visitations from people we’ve loved over time,” Cuse says. Michael Emerson, who plays Ben, confirms, “The final season will resemble the first. I know there are plans for big people we have parted company with to reappear.” But one crucial component from the very first pilot episode will most likely be absent from the reunion: cocreator J.J. Abrams, who tells me he won’t be returning to Hawaii to direct the series finale. “I would selfishly love it,” he says, “but director Jack Bender has been living in Hawaii for years and doing amazing work. For me to come in and direct the finale would be cruel and unusual.”

Question: This is probably a long shot, but got any “Lost” scoop? --Jeff
Ausiello: Yeah, having “Lost” scoop in late May is about as unlikely as me combing through my old transcripts and finding an unused Damon Lindelof quote pertaining to the show’s series finale. OMG, looky here: “We’ve been planning out the final season for four years now. And of all the talks we have had about the show, (reuniting all the castaways) is the subject that has come up the most. The ending was almost where we began, and we had to figure out how to get there. It’s like a wedding where the reception is the part that requires the most planning and is the most fun to plan. We’ve exchanged our vows and I am ready to go party.”
Question: Realistically, how many episodes of “Lost” do you think Elizabeth Mitchell will be in next year? --Derek
Ausiello: My gut is telling me we’ll see her in two episodes max. But my gut has been wrong before. Oh, who am I kidding, no it hasn’t.
