"Confidence Man"
Charlie entices Claire to the caves with imaginary Peanut Butter.
In a fight, Sayid pierces Sawyer's arm with the knife Locke had given him. Jack saves Sawyer's life.
Sun makes a natural remedy for Shannon's asthma, with the help of Michael.
Sawyer shows his letter to Kate.
Ashamed of having tortured and almost killed Sawyer, Sayid leaves the beach camp.
Day 12 - Sunday, October 3, 2004
"Solitary"
Sayid finds the cable. He follows it inland and is captured by Danielle Rousseau.
Ethan and Locke hunt wild rabbits.
"The Other 48 Days"
(Night) the Others kidnap 9 people (including all of the children) from the tailies camp. Ana Lucia kills one of the Others, who was carrying a U.S Army knife and a list of the nine who were taken. The tailies decide to relocate.
Day 13 - Monday, October 4, 2004
"Solitary"
Sayid is interrogated and tortured by Danielle Rousseau. He learns about the Others. He escapes and hears whispers in the jungle.
The First Island Open Golf Tournament is held, officiated by Hurley.
Day 15 - Wednesday, October 6, 2004
"Deus Ex Machina"
Emily Locke turns 64.
"Raised by Another"
Claire has a nightmare involving Locke, and a crib full of blood. She wakes up in the morning thinking someone took her baby.
Claire experiences another nightmare. This time, she claims someone injected her with something.
"The Other 48 Days"
After 3 days of walking, the remaining tail-section survivors make a camp in the jungle near a river.
Day 16 - Thursday, October 7, 2004
"Raised by Another"
Hurley decides it's best to get information about all the survivors. He starts a census, and gets the flight manifest from Sawyer.
Sayid returns to the caves with news of the Others.
Hurley announces that Ethan wasn't on the plane.
Claire and Charlie are kidnapped by Ethan.
"All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues"
Charlie is hanged and left for dead by Ethan, but revived by Jack.
Boone and Locke discover a hatch.
"Maternity Leave"
Ethan starts "taking care of" Claire in the Staff, using drugs to convince her he is acting in the best interest of her and her unborn baby.
Day 17 - Friday, October 8, 2004
"The Other 48 Days"
Ana Lucia starts work on the Tiger Pit.
Day 19 - Sunday, October 10, 2004
"The Glass Ballerina"
Actor Christopher Reeve passes away.
"The Other 48 Days"
Ana Lucia imprisons Nathan in the Tiger pit, convinced he is one of the Others. She interrogates him about the kidnapped children.
Day 21 - Tuesday, October 12, 2004
"Whatever the Case May Be"
Kate and Sawyer find the Halliburton case.
The tides are coming further up the beach. The survivors living there move their camp higher up the coast.
Boone and Locke continue to study the Hatch.
