Theory: Could Episode 6.01 be about The Summer of 1932 Olympics?
This was suggested by CherryValance at the Lost Ain't It Cool Talkback. If you'll notice they took place in LA and they were officially known as the Games of the X Olympiad.
1932 Summer Olympics
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 1932 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the X Olympiad, were an international multi-sport event which was celebrated in 1932 in Los Angeles, California, United States. No other cities made a bid to host these Olympics. Held during the worldwide Great Depression, many nations and athletes were unable to pay for the trip to Los Angeles. Fewer than half the participants of the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam returned to compete in 1932. U.S. President Herbert Hoover did not attend the Games, becoming the first sitting head of government not to appear at an Olympics hosted in that country.
The organizing committee put no record of the finances of the Games in their report, though contemporary newspapers reported that the Games had made a profit of US$1,000,000.

Actor Michael Emerson on the end of Lost and being creepy
By Christopher Toh, TODAY Posted: 18 August 2009
Ben Linus has become one of television's most enigmatic bad guys - creepy stare and all. If only the guy who plays him on Lost had an Emmy to show for it.
The TV-equivalent of the Oscars is a month away and once again, actor Michael Emerson is up for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series. Emerson's been there before - twice.
Nominated for his role as the former leader of the Others, Emerson lost to Lost co-star Terry O'Quinn in 2007 and to Zeljko Ivanek of Damages last year. So will it be third-time lucky for him?
"I think it may be enough honour to be nominated," he said carefully over the phone during a teleconference last week. "Anyone who has a career long enough on television to get nominated for an Emmy has succeeded on some level, and that's great for me."
Emerson and the cast are back in Hawaii, heading into production for what would be the show's sixth and final season.
The fifth season is currently showing on AXN Beyond.
Before joining Lost in 2006, Emerson's biggest TV role was as a guest star on The Practice back in 2001, playing William Hinks (which, incidentally, won him an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Star).
The 55-year-old theatre actor is surprised by the success of his character. Fans say they like Ben's damaged moral ambiguity - you're not sure whether he's really bad or not. It's a common trait found in several of Emerson's characters, such as Hinks or Zep Hindle in the Saw movies.
"I'm playing it like I would any sort of ambiguous villain," he said. "You want to engage the audience and place them in a morally ambiguous position - both irritating and fascinating in equal measures... It would be fine with me if the show ended and no one still knew if Ben was a bad guy or a hero."
While Emerson is sad to see the series end, he's glad Lost has left its footprint on television history - Emmy or not.
"There have been so many shows that have employed this sort of serial, spectacle, adventure, science fiction format, and... trying to reinvent the magic that was created with Lost."
Besides, he said, it's been fun - despite the show's grave and dramatic demeanour.
"Yes, the show is heavy... (but) we end up cracking each other up a lot. It's a humorous state of camaraderie. I mean, we take our work seriously, and the acting is at a fairly high level. But you know, when you've been up since 4am and you've worked 14 hours, things can get a little goofy late at night," said Emerson.
"Sometimes I think the best scenes are the ones where we're literally obliterated with fatigue!"
Lost Season 5, Mondays, 10pm on AXN Beyond (StarHub TV Ch 100).

Tim Doyle for The Numbers
The actor who plays Little Ben showed up at the club tonight and gave out this web adress which has the ARG's first fan created piece of artwork for sale. http://actuallyitsketchup.com/dcpb/I/ Its on sale for $50.
In celebration of LOST's final season and as a project of fan appreciation, 16 top designers and artists, who are also fans of the show, were commissioned to create artwork celebrating one of the series' most memorable, and unforgettable, "water cooler" moments. Other info I missed.
I'm not sure if there's alot of info in the band flyer for Banana Split, but I did see this at the top reading:
So, these are "hints." Some will lead to physical places, some just take you to another website. But the end result, a.k.a. the coolest part of the fun, can be achieved just by s taying in your house. No need to stand up, get dressed and start flailing your arms to your waiting car, because everyone will have a chance to get to the end result, as long a s you're online and stay tuned to this website. We'll give you everything you need to know... and soon.
Hopefully there's something in the ad that we can google or put together.

Polar Bear Site info
Well, this was posted tonight on Damon, Carlton and a Polar Bear dot com:
Looks like we are getting a string of live events, (hopefully around the country) for a band that is going under the name of Banana Split, presented by the Dharma Initiative.
I clicked around to the bottom links and found this:
"If you're on this webpage, it means you're onto something very cool. We admit it. You got us. But, please keep in mind that you can participate right from your living room. Sometimes, it might even help not to go anywhere at all. But everything can happen for you, and you'll have a great experience, just staying at home watching our website(s). Which is cool. There is no alternate reality, just reality. And if you do find yourself wanting to go somewhere outside of your house because of this webpage, even after us telling you it's not necessary, no matter where you live, we ask you to be courteous, extremely safe and know we would never ask you to do anything against the law or that could put you or anyone else in harm's way. We would never ask you to trespass and just like your Driver's Ed teacher, we discourage speeding or any sort of unsafe driving. To sum it up, everyone has a chance to get what we got, no matter where you are, so let's keep it calm, people."
Hoping we can find more on this and they post ways for us to find things in the coming weeks.
Just a strange twist to what the site was. Not sure we can get back to the older posts and videos. Hmmmm.
Well, over to the long running seaosn 5 finale thread on AICN.

iesb.net: Interview: Ian Somerhalder and His VAMPIRE DIARIES
Heres the Lost part follow the link for the whole interview.
Q: Are you going to be returning to Lost?
Ian: That's the idea.
Q: Are you going to go back to the plane, before it crashed?
Ian: I don't know any of that stuff, but that's the idea. We're working it out and making it happen.
Q: Do you have any idea what the storyline would be?
Ian: I have no clue. And, I probably won't know until the day I get there. That is the one thing that I am really curious about. Over the years, those guys have gotten so smart to not tell actors anything because we talk to you guys.
Q: Were you surprised when you got the call about returning to the show?
Ian: We had spoken about it for awhile, and then I hung out with Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse at Comic-Con and we came to the conclusion that this will happen. So, we're just working out the details. The problem is just the dates. Honolulu is really far from Atlanta, and I'm on the schedule every day with The Vampire Diaries. Usually, when I would go back to do an episode of Lost, it was a seven-day vacation with a great hotel suite on the beach, lots of per diem, a convertible to drive around in and massages. This is going to be a red eye from Atlanta to Hawaii, getting off the plane, shooting, crashing and then going back.
Q: Are you excited to revisit Boone?
Ian: One last time, yeah. It will be fun. I just can't wait.
Q: Is it nice to know that you'll be able to play a part in closing out this show that you helped get started?
Ian: Yeah. Hopefully, it will be different and Boone can get his power back. There was always some element of solidarity in him. It was just never able to be played out. But, I could be completely wrong. He could just be the same push-over he was.
Q: Have you kept up with the show at all, as the seasons have progressed?
Ian: I haven't been able to, as much as I'd like to. But, I'm going to do some major catching up, before I go down there.

New Links Page
I've been thinking of doing something with the Theories page since its kind of redundant with all of the discussion that goes on at out Ain't It Cool talkback. http://www.aintitcool.com/talkback_display/41067 Which is kind of funny since I've been thinking about turning it into a links page when recently one of the talkbackers Cheif Brody happened to suggest that I turn it into a links page. I had links on the side area of both the main and Media page, but now all links are in one place and over time I have a bunch of other links that I want to add. If you have any suggestions place feel free to leave them at the comments post that I set up.

Press Tour Diary: ABC's 'V' reboot (Juliet returning in one form or another)
Press Tour Diary: ABC's 'V' reboot
by Michael Ausiello
WHO: Elizabeth Mitchell, Morris Chestnut, Joel Gretsch, Lourdes Benedicto, Morena Baccarin, Scott Wolf, and exec producers Scott Peters and Jeffrey Bell.
PREMISE: The rodent-eating lizards are back! Slick production. Great cast. Not scary enough. (Watch the trailer) The last session of press tour!
5:21 pm: Mitchell confirms for the umpteenth time that she will be returning to Lost. “I am going to be traveling to Hawaii for Lost more than once,” she says. “I can’t say whether Juliet is alive or dead, but as with all things on Lost, it will be tricky.”
5:31 pm: Wolf’s dimples remain a force of nature.
5:32 pm: Scoop! V will premiere on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 8 pm/ET.
5:34 pm: Iconic scenes from the original V—like alien queen Diana devouring the hamster—will be replicated in some form. ”We would be morons if we didn’t find a way to pay homage [to the original],” says Bell. “But if we had her do exactly what was done in the original, been there done that.”
5:36 pm: Paging Jane Badler… E.P. Peters says some of the original V actors will definitely be making cameos on the reboot as a “tip of the hat” to old fans.
That’s a wrap, folks! Heading off to the ABC cocktail reception to get scoop for next week’s Ask Ausiello. I survived another press tour! Yay me!

The Make-Believe ABC House Is Getting Crowded
The campaign, which began in May, is centered on the fanciful notion that the stars of all the shows broadcast by ABC live together in a house as one big happy family. Think of it as sort of a marketing spin on “Big Brother.”
The commercials that have appeared so far have been general in nature, featuring ABC stars like Sally Field (“Brothers and Sisters”), Teri Hatcher (“Desperate Housewives”), Matthew Fox (“Lost”) and the late-night host Jimmy Kimmel. New spots that are to begin running on Saturday, which will be available in longer versions next week on abc.com, will promote four new sitcoms that are to make their debuts on Wednesdays in the fall.
The new Wednesday series touted in the commercials are “Hank,” starring Kelsey Grammer; “The Middle,” starring Patricia Heaton; “Modern Family,” with an ensemble cast that includes Ed O’Neill; and “Cougartown,” with Courteney Cox. They are to appear from 8 to 10 on Wednesday nights.
The vignettes in the commercials include Calista Flockhart of “Brothers and Sisters” welcoming Mr. Grammer to the ABC house and showing him to his room. He offers her a tip; she tells him she is not a maid. Also, Josh Holloway of “Lost” and Ms. Cox exchange ripostes at a barbecue. And some of the newcomers are pressed into doing laundry for the casts of established ABC series like “Dancing With the Stars” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”
“We started with the people who are very familiar faces,” said Marla Provencio, co-executive vice president for marketing at ABC with Mike Benson. Now the idea is to use the premise of the ABC house to “introduce our new Wednesday comedy line-up,” she added.
“The great thing about the ABC house campaign is that it has such great legs,” Ms. Provencio said.
For instance, if ABC is to broadcast a special show like the American Music Awards, she added, the celebrities who are nominees could appear in commercials as if they had been invited to the ABC house “for a special dinner” or “television night.”
The campaign is being created internally at the marketing department at ABC, part of the Walt Disney Company, with Becky Daugherty, vice president for specials and late night, and her staff members. Vince Manze, a former NBC marketing executive who is a consultant to ABC, is also helping develop the campaign.

Personal Quotes
I'm very picky when it comes to men. I come across a man who I'm really attracted to about once every five years.
I love being outside - that's where I'm the happiest.
I feel like I'm in boot camp. On Lost - my first year was baptism by fire. I just was thrown in. And I had no idea what I was doing, not just on set, and not just as an actor, but as a public figure. I had no idea what I was doing. I had no idea how to cope with it, and what the best ways were to manage it. I'm constantly learning that and therefore, in learning it, I knew I didn't want to - one of the first things I knew was, I don't want to have this beast become so big and uncontrollable that I am swallowed up by it.
To put it simply - you know, a lot of people believe that the benefit of this job is fame and fortune. I believe that you pay for the fortune through the fame. I don't buy into the notion that being famous is somehow a good thing, or an exciting thing, or a wonderful thing. I think it's more cumbersome and more of a hindrance to your life than it is the other. But the fortune is fantastic. I'll take it, and I have no complaints. But it's not - you know, I didn't become an actress because I wanted to be famous. I didn't become an actress because this is the ultimate career goal of my life. I became an actress by accident. I was doing a psychological exercise with myself, challenging myself, by going to auditions. I had no idea that it would connect to a job. I had no intention for it to connect to a job. I was doing it as an exercise. So when I got a job, I, in that moment, had to sit down and go, "Do I want to be an actor?"
Even if you're unhappy, just pretend that you're happy. Eventually, your smile will be contagious to yourself. I had to learn that, I used to think, 'I'm being fake,' but you know what? Better to be fake and happy than real and miserable. - on her mindset

Lost Comic-Con Panel
I know this is way late, but theres been so many other things to post and with Rizzo's awesome report I didn't feel that I needed to hurry. I met up with Rizzo in the line that morning and hung out with a bunch of awesome Lost fans. EW's Jeff Jenson, Dan who do the episode reports and Totally Lost were there that morning working the crowds. We were let in an hour before the panel and I was able to get really close to the microphone. Unfortunately I looked down for a moment and a bunch of people ran up to the Mic and I was probably 10th in line, which if they would have made more time for questions I might have gotten up there. But it was still cool being able to be so close. I ended up sitting next to the girl in the picture that looked a lot like Naomi. I wish that I could have asked a question, but all in all it was a really cool experience. My favorite part was when Michael Emerson came out and started berating Jorge Garcia.

Happy Birthday Daniel Dae Kim!
Biography for
Daniel Dae Kim More at IMDbPro
Date of Birth
4 August 1968, Pusan, South Korea
Nickname
DDK
Height
5' 9" (1.75 m)
Mini Biography
Daniel Dae Kim may not think of himself as a cultural ambassador, but through his role as native Korean "Jin Kwon" on the top-rated ABC series "Lost" (2004), he has both entertained and enlightened audiences since the show's debut in 2004. Sharing a 2006 Screen Actors Guild Award for his ensemble work in the acclaimed dramatic series, the Korean American actor's universal appeal was also recognized by People magazine, which named him one of the "Sexiest Men Alive" in 2005.
Born in Pusan, Korea and raised in New York and Pennsylvania, Daniel graduated from Haverford College, where he received a B.A. degree. Though briefly considering a career as an attorney, he retained his acting focus and began his professional career with a guest role on "Law & Order" (1990). At the same time, he began his work on the stage, appearing in productions of "Romeo and Juliet" and an adaptation of the Henrik Ibsen classic, "A Doll's House". Despite his early success however, Daniel decided to renew his dedication to the craft by enrolling in the Graduate Acting program at New York University, where he went on to earn an M.F.A.
The choice to go back to school proved to be worthwhile, as he began to work immediately upon graduation. He guest starred on shows such as "NYPD Blue" (1993), "Seinfeld" (1990), "The Practice" (1997), "Ally McBeal" (1997), "Star Trek: Voyager" (1995), "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (2000), "Without a Trace" (2002) and "The Shield" (2002), among others. He also created several notable recurring characters on popular shows such as "Angel" (1999), "ER" (1994) and, for two seasons, as "Agent Tom Baker" on "24" (2001). Recently, he also began complementing his television work by lending his voice talents to video games, creating characters in Scarface: The World Is Yours (2006) (VG), Saints Row 2 (2008) (VG), Tenchu san (2003) (VG) and 24: The Game (2006) (VG), as well as the animated series "Justice League" (2001) and "Avatar: The Last Airbender" (2005).
On the big screen, Daniel's career began in earnest with the action film The Jackal (1997) which led to studio and independent films such as For Love of the Game (1999), Hulk (2003), Spider-Man 2 (2004), The Cave (2000), as well as the Academy Award winner for Best Picture, Crash (2004/I). In addition to his work on screen, Daniel remains committed to the stage, most recently performing in a production of Anton Chekhov's "Ivanov" in New York. His body of work ranges from Shakespeare to Beckett to improv comedy, and he credits his love of theater to his training at N.Y.U.
Besides his SAG Award, in 2006 he was individually honored with an AZN Asian Excellence Award, a Multicultural Prism Award, and a Vanguard award from the KoreanAmerican Coalition, all for Outstanding Performance by an Actor.
He currently splits his time between Honolulu, Los Angeles and New York.

Trivia
He holds an M.F.A. from the Graduate Acting program at New York University.
Son born in 1996.
He has said that playing "Jin" on "Lost" (2004) is a relief to him because he's finally playing someone of his own heritage (Korean), having been cast as characters of almost every other Asian heritage but his own.
Due to his childhood in America, he knew very little Korean before he did "Lost" (2004). He has said that his co-star on that show Yunjin Kim, who is fluent in both English and Korean, has been invaluable in coaching him on his Korean, which has apparently improved. Ironically, to the audience's knowledge, Daniel's character knows nothing but Korean.
Grew up in Easton, Pennsylvania.
Earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Haverford College/Bryn Mawr College in Theatre & Political Science.
His acting heroes are Paul Scofield, Gene Hackman, Robert De Niro, Sidney Poitier, Gene Kelly, Denzel Washington, Robert Duvall and, his favorite, Jonathan Pryce.
While getting small parts in plays and writing and performing in an improv comedy group, he seriously considered a career in investment banking.
He attended Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the same high school as Dwayne Johnson.
He was included on People Magazine's list of the sexiest men alive in 2005. Matthew McConaughey topped the list.
Arrested in Honolulu on October 25, 2007 for allegedly driving drunk.
Personal Quotes
[on why he loves theater] There's something about being in a house with an audience, and having that immediate feedback. I started acting because of that energy; it's what feeds me on stage and informs my choices. What's great in theater is that you can sustain the arc of a character for a full three hours, whereas in film or TV, you have to create that arc in little pieces, and usually out of sequence.
Where Are They Now
(March 2009) Launch of a restaurant called "The Counter" in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Comic-Con Lost Cards
(Update) I just called the visable number on the back of the University card and you get a message that says that "Professor Adam Nussdorf at Lost University. Professor Nussdorf is on sabbatical so will return to his office on September 22nd. This machine currently does not accept voicemail."
These are the cards that were handed out at the Auction stuff booth. The last card is the back side of the Lost University card. If you look at the scribbled out part theres some 818 area code (Burbank) under the scribble. I tried messing with Photoshop, but got nothing.
