The Constant: X-Men Style

Recently I've been reading the Essential X-Men books which are cheap black & White versions of classic comic books. I am currently reading the Phoenix & Dark Phoenix Sagas where a guy named Jason Wyngarde of a group called the Hellfire club is psychically seducing Jean Grey or the Phoenix because of some new found powers that she acquired. Every time that he did it she was transported to the 1800's and actually believed that she was part of that world. It reminded me a lot of what Desmond went through in the two times that he time traveled. These X-Men stories were written by Chris Claremont & John Bryne.
