For reason's I can't quite define, I am a bit shaken by Kristen's answer to the first question. While one could certainly rule out Rose, since she was there since season one, is obviously female, and appears to be one of the few that will remain on the island. However...with all that has happened to her character and with so much of the focus will be on the mainland in season 5, my gut says beautiful, uberMILF , mostly dead Claire might be the one sitting out season five. Oh how I hope my quite reliable gut is wrong this time. I am going to put a poll up so I can hear the Room23ers voice in this. Namaste and here's Kristen Dos Santos:

I can tell you that a series regular who has been on the series since the first season will not be back next season (season five). According to inside sources, this person's contract has been put into a holding deal and the plan at this point is to have him or her return for season six. Guesses? (OK, I'll spare you the frantic emails: It is not Jack or Sawyer. It's a she.)

Remember how I told you that time traveling and teleporting is most definitely happening?(Duh) Well, let's just say that it's going to be happening on a much larger scale in the coming seasons. And if I tell you any more about that twist, I will break the heart of this sweet guy who's name rhymes with "Hey, mon" and karma will see to it that I return in the next life as grasshopper poo.

OH MY BELOVED CLAIRE BEAR!!!! As much as I want to vote for Rose (Hey - I've got nothin against Rose, but I love my Claire too much!)I have to vote Claire. Considering the way her character has transformed and with the main story of season 5 is getting BACK to the island...I think she disappears...wherever these 1/2 dead folk go. Maybe her season 6 will be her transformation to an eve-like character unafraid of her nakedness.
I remember reading something about Claire having something important to do that would go through at least the rest of the season. That TV Guide article says that Sun will be also playing a lot bigger role in the future. That article also states that the flashforwards of the finale will actually take place after "We Have to go back" What if Malkin's prophasy saying that Bad things would happen if someone else cared for Aaron? What if Kate died because she is not supposed to care for Aaron and refuses to return to the island and thus return Aaron to Clarie?
As I read your stuff,Paul, I keep think how great it would be to have a season of Katelessness. I don't hate her necessarily, but she can be annoying. If she wants no part in the trip back or Jack either for that matter, maybe this scheme to get back won't include her. Her story picks back up in season 6. I can only hope. NOT MY CLAIRE BEAR!!!
