The Original Sawyer Poll

I was thinking about all of the people that worked for Widmore that Ben has killed off ether by himself or through others. I got to thinking, Ben had Locke's Father (the original Sawyer) kidnapped and killed by Locke/Sawyer. Now I know that this might be far fetched, but what if Daddy Sawyer was of of Widmore's men? maybe Widmore even knew that Locke was special and kept testing him?
